Refugee Children Make Ornaments for Kentucky State Tree
In conjunction with the Kentucky Museum of Art and Craft, young Kentucky Refugee Ministries clients spent part of their Fall Break creating ornaments for the Kentucky State Tree in the 2006 Christmas Pageant of Peace in Washington, D.C. KRM volunteers, such as artist Kim Sandage, worked alongside KRM and Kentucky Museum of Art and Craft staff to help the diverse group create their crafts.
URGENT!
KRM currently needs winter coats, blankets and twin sheets, drinking glasses and personal hygiene items for newly-arriving refugee families. Please contact Gaby Salazar at 479-9180 ext. 15, gsalazar@kyrm.org, if you'd like to make a donation.
